2012 – Exchange Conference

On June 13-14, the Social Impact Exchange held its 2012 Conference on Scaling Impact, where over 400 foundations, philanthropists and philanthropy advisors convened in New York City. The Conference focused entirely on innovative methods to support scaling and replication of high-impact nonprofit initiatives.  Conference themes include scaling impact through policy efforts, collective impact, systems change and cross-sector partnering.
The conference also featured announcements and discussions of new initiatives including the introduction of the Social Innovation Fund (SIF) Foundation Registry, strategies such as Collective Impact, updates on investment platforms that connect thousands of donors to scaling nonprofits, funder collaboratives to scale impact in education and health, and findings from three major new studies: The State of Scaling Impact Among Nonprofit Organizations and Initiatives; McKinsey & Company’s new report on Social Impact Bonds; A White house commissioned report on Collective Impacts models.
